Cookies are small text files that a website asks your browser to store, so the site can remember something about your visit — a choice you made, or the fact that you are the same visitor moving from page to page. This page lists every cookie oakforge.help can set, in plain terms.
Cookies we always set (essential)
These are required for the website to function and are set without asking, because the site cannot work without them:
- PHPSESSID — a standard session identifier. Among other things it carries the security token that protects our enquiry form from forged submissions. Expires when you close your browser.
- og_consent — remembers the cookie choice you made in our banner, so we do not ask you again on every page. Kept for six months.
Cookies we set only with your consent (analytics)
If — and only if — you press “Accept” in the cookie banner or enable the Analytics category in preferences, we may use anonymous analytics cookies (such as _ga and _gid) to understand which pages visitors read and where the site could be clearer. These statistics are aggregated; they do not identify you personally, and we never combine them with enquiry form data. If you press “Reject”, these cookies are not set, and any previously set ones are removed.
Changing your mind
Your choice is never final. Click the round cookie button in the bottom-right corner of any page to reopen the preferences panel, switch the Analytics category on or off, and save. The change takes effect immediately.
Controlling cookies in your browser
Every modern browser lets you view, block and delete cookies for any site — look for “Cookies and site data” in your browser’s privacy settings. Blocking our essential cookies will stop the enquiry form from working, but the rest of the site will still be readable.
Third parties
We load web fonts from Google Fonts, which involves your browser requesting font files from Google’s servers. Font requests do not set cookies. We embed no advertising networks, social media pixels or tracking widgets on this site.
